Oh Yes! Foods Sponsors a Gluten-Free Pizza Party  

For Big Kids


Oh Yes! Foods and the Southern California Chapter of the Celiac Disease Foundation Support Group hosted a great event for kids aged 8-12 with Celiac Disease on June 28th. 


Billed as a gluten-free pizza party in Marina Del Rey, the program turned into an enriching conversation and sharing session for all attendees about living with Celiac with Janelle Smith, Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist.


The kids played games that centered around naming foods that were or weren't gluten-free and Ms. Smith provided a forum for the participants to discuss social challenges like birthday parties, school lunch, family gatherings, restaurant dining and play dates. 

Parents bonded about the issues surrounding a child on a specialty diet.


Amy really wanted to get the kids talking and the safe and nurturing environment made it happen. Oh Yes! Foods' delicious pizza and other snacks and desserts made it an especially fun event. Company founders Chip Milam and Dr. Emily Sikking generously made pizzas all afternoon.


According to Amy's daughter Dylan, it was, "fun to be able to interact with other gluten-free kids and make new friends." Amy couldn't have written a better quote herself.
