LOS ANGELES, CA, October 3, 2017… Have you saved room for dessert? Get your sweet tooth prepped and ready for the LA Cookie Con & Sweets Show February 10 & 11, 2018. The West Coast’s largest convention celebrating manufacturers of all things sugary returns to the Anaheim Convention Center for its 4th year. Delight as the most innovative bakers, cake decorators, cookie makers and chocolatiers showcase their creations to fans from around the country who will assemble to satisfy their cravings.

After selling out three years in a row to over 30,000 attendees, the LA Cookie Con & Sweets Show has quadrupled in size to allow room for even more vendors and guests to experience the mind boggling eating frenzy! Indulge in more than just the gooey goodness of cookies. Sample pastries, cakes and candies booth after booth, row after row, until you’ll feel like “Augustus Gloop” from Willy Wonka™.

The LA Cookie Con & Sweets Show will feature baking demonstrations, workshops on Vegan/Gluten-Free/Paleo cooking, food competitions and celebrity guests. For junior (or cookie-monsters), a family-friendly Kid’s Zone will be available offering free face painting, cookie decorating, crafts, games and more courtesy of Baking with Melissa.


Offering more star power than any other food convention on the West Coast, this year’s special celebrity guests will include Ron Ben-Israel, Duff Goldman and Olivia Sanabia Star.

Ron Ben-Israel: Known for his wedding cakes and sugar paste flowers, Ron Ben-Israel is the executive chef and owner of Ron Ben-Israel Cakes in New York City. Ben-Israel has served as both host and judge on Food Network’s “Sweet Genius” and is a judge on the network’s original series “Cake Wars” and “Halloween Baking Championship.”

Duff Goldman: After quitting his day job in March 2002, Adam “Duff” Goldman opened Charm City Cakes, which became the basis for Food Network’s hit reality show “Ace of Cakes.” Duff currently serves as the star on Food Network’s “Cake Masters” and as a judge on “Holiday Baking Championship” and “Spring Baking Championship.”

Olivia Sanabia: Veteran teenage actress Olivia Sanabia stars in the Amazon Original Series “Just Add Magic” which is loosely based on the book series by Cindy Callaghan.

Before joining the cast of “Just Add Magic,” Ms. Sanabia appeared in Nickelodeon’s “Sam & Cat” and “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn.”


New to this year’s event, is the Decorator’s Showcase and Contest benefitting Smile Train and Cookies for Kids’ Cancer. This charitable competition will celebrate the culinary arts and is open to amateurs, professionals and everyone in-between that wants to participate. A winner will be chosen in each category by a panel of judges and hosted by Ron Ben-Israel. Contestants will show off their artistic skills through cakes, cookies, blown sugar and more by submitting their designs into one of four categories: Animation Characters, Rock n’ Roll, Horror and Wedding.
